Seascape Stole

Victory!!

I started my first "real lace" project back in August. I've learned so much along the way and am so proud of the beautiful shawl I've created

I started with a 1,200 yard ball of yarn (It's a hand painted silk / wool blend) and paired with the Seascape Stole pattern.

After 75 hours (a conservative estimate), the shawl was complete. I set about blocking the piece. It grew from 7 feet to 8'6" long, 24" wide.

Thanks to my sister-in-law, Prasti, for humoring me with my photo shoot!

This piece makes me wish for a daughter. Truly an heirloom piece to pass down.

that last one turned out really good! the snowy backdrop really brings out the colors and makes the pattern pop.

had fun with the photo shoot, and i'd gladly do it again for you :).
